1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Trustbook (the "Service"), provided by Trustbook AG ("Trustbook", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Trustbook is a digital platform that helps families organize documents, track insurance coverage, manage assets, and stay on top of administrative deadlines. The Service includes AI-powered document analysis, insurance coverage checks, and personalized recommendations.

Trustbook does not provide financial, tax, legal, or insurance advice. All information and recommendations are for informational purposes only. You should consult qualified professionals for advice tailored to your situation.

3. Account Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all documents and data you upload to Trustbook. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and analyze your content solely to provide the Service.

  • We do not claim ownership of your documents or data.
  • We do not share your content with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • You can export or delete your content at any time.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload malicious files or content that could harm our systems
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without our permission

6. AI-Powered Features

Trustbook uses artificial intelligence to analyze documents and generate insights. While we strive for accuracy:

  • AI-generated analysis may contain errors or inaccuracies.
  • AI outputs do not constitute professional advice.
  • You should verify important information independently.
  • We continuously improve our AI models but cannot guarantee 100%% accuracy.

7. Pricing & Payments

Trustbook offers a free plan with limited features, as well as paid plans (Premium and Family) with expanded capabilities. Current pricing is available on our Pricing page.

  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We may offer promotional trials (e.g. CHF 1 for the first month). Trial terms are communicated at the time of purchase.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers keep their current rate until the end of their billing cycle.
  • Family plan owners are responsible for payment on behalf of all members included in their plan.

8. Service Availability

We aim to provide continuous access to the Service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned maintenance.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Swiss law:

  • Trustbook is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or CHF 0 for free accounts).

10. Account Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  • Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zurich, Switzerland.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Documents are encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS).

Access is restricted to authorized users and our processing systems, which analyze your documents to provide insights. We never share your data with third parties. Fernet encryption protects all extracted data, summaries, user data, and PII in the database. All document access is audit-logged.
